CAPABILITIES
PJ Engineering is a fully integrated machine builder. We have the human resources, facilities and equipment to complete all phases of the project from design through to final commissioning in house.

MACHINE DESIGN
Our design engineers use Autodesk Inventor workstations for concept and final designs.

The design engineer for a project stays with that project through machining, assembly, commissioning and start of production at the client.
This allows us to make design changes without delay where required but more importantly by understanding the real world usage of our machines we can incorporate that knowledge into our future designs.
ELECTRICAL AUTOMATION AND MOTION CONTROL
All control system design, programming, panel building and commissioning is done in house.

We have years of experience in advanced motion control and industrial communications. Our projects regularly use some of the technologies below and we are always ready to learn new systems.

Motion control using Allen Bradley, Siemens and Rexroth servo drives
EthernetIP, Profinet, Profibus and Devicenet communications
Integration with ABB and Yaskawa robots
Integration with Cognex vision systems
Distributed IO systems and IO Link
Safety PLCs, programmable safety relays and discrete safety circuits

CNC MACHINING
Our CNC machines and programmers allow us to do all our CNC machining in house.

Our CNC facilities include:

5 CNC milling machines
Maximum work piece dimension of 3000mm x 2500mm x 1000mm
CNC lathe for advanced turning applications
EDM MACHINING
EDM machining uses electrical discharges to remove material from workpieces. The EDM process allows for machining of complex contours and shapes not possible with traditional machining methods as well as machining of pre-hardened and exotic materials. Using EDM we are able to machine complex punches, dies and intricate parts.

Our EDM facilities include:

2 Fanuc ROBOCUT wire cutters
1 Spark eroder
1 Small-hole making machine

GENERAL MACHINING
Our machine shop is fully equiped to manufacture all parts needed for our projects.

Our machining facilities include:

10 Milling machines
6 Centre lathes
1 Slotting machine
2 Surface grinders
2 Shaft grinders
FABRICATION
Our fabrication facilities include:

Mig, Tig and Arc welders
Heat treatment ovens
Hydraulic presses
Benders
Guillotine
Chemical blackening baths
Sand blasting facilities
Positive pressure paint booth

MACHINE ASSEMBLY AND COMMISSIONING
Assembling and commissioning of the components that we have designed and machined is the phase where we can test and assure the capability of the equipment.

A spacious and orderly assembly area creates the ideal environment for final machine assembly and commissioning.
Sufficient working surfaces, a ready supply of tools and fasteners and a gantry all contribute to the efficient assembly and final development of all projects.
